Why Chaos?

It all began with a dream…literally. I awoke in a sweaty panic after just experiencing the first chapter of Chaos Theory Initiation. I had to get out of bed and walk around before my heart rate returned to normal. The next day, I thought to myself, “that would be a great book,” and left it at that.

One year later my husband, Michael, and I decided it was time to start a family. Due to my health, we knew we weren’t like most couples and would require a gestational surrogate. Since insurance covered absolutely nothing, it was time to raise some money. The crazy dream resurfaced in my brain, and I decided to put it on paper in hopes of funding our future embryos.

Well, who knew it takes FOREVER to write a book? Over the next two years, I worked on my project while we continued to save every paycheck. Eventually, we did it! We saved enough for IVF; however, things did not go as planned. I’ll never forget the feeling of my heart breaking as I heard the words, “there’s nothing you can do. It didn’t work.”

After letting God put the pieces back together, we decided to cling to hope. I feverishly worked on Chaos Theory day and night. And it’s finally here! We are looking forward to one more cycle of IVF, but I don’t want to stop there. I want to help other couples who have experienced the same trials and hurt that we have. Proceeds from this book will not only go to pushing Chaos Theory forward and funding our IVF journey but will also assist others in their battle with infertility. If God can use this to ease the burden for one aspiring dad or help one future mom see her dream become reality, then it was all worth it.
